Donald Campbell joined MG ALBA as Chief Executive in July 2006 and was instrumental in the establishment of the partnership that launched the Gaelic television channel BBC ALBA in September 2008. Donald chairs the joint management board of BBC ALBA and has spoken at industry events in the UK and internationally. He has also previously been chair of the Celtic Media Festival. Prior to his career in Gaelic media Donald worked with Ernst & Young, where he worked as tax adviser on cross-border finance and major public-private infrastructure projects. He is also a trustee of an Ecuador-based charity. Donald was brought up on the Hebridean island of South Uist with Gaelic as his first language and received his university education in Rome, Italy.
