Mamen Casal Quintas, born in October 1991 in Santiago de Compostela, is currently the production and sales coordinator for Ficcion Producciones.
During the course of compulsory secondary education and high school, Mamen produced her first short film, at the young age of 16. Subsequently, and once she finished her mandatory studies she moves to Bournemouth University, where she is did the undergraduate degree ‘Film Production and Cinematography ', where she really delves into her professional appreciation for the audiovisual sector and she begins her interest in international sales and production. After the year she studied in the UK, she moved to Madrid where she was accepted into the prestigious school ECAM (Madrid Film and Audiovisual School), for three years Mamen studied the Degree in "Production manger &executive production", under the tutelage of great professionals such as: Enrique Urbizu (Director), Carlos Suarez (PDO), Walter Volpatto (Colorist), Javier Olivares (Producer) or Fernando Méndez Leite (Director of the center). Before finishing her studies Mamen started her professional career at the age of 22 in Bambú Productions (Velvet, Las Chicas del Cable, El Verano que Vivimos) in the department of production. It is worth highlighting her studies at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, where she attended the master's degree called 'From the production Field Production to the International Executive Production’ under the tutelage of Sandy Liberson. Currently Mamen, is working at Ficcion Producciones where she coordinates the productions but also is in charge of the international co production and sales.
In December 2020 she was awarded with the MEDIA grant to Television Broadcasting for the fiction series '3 Caminos'. In her professional backpack we find projects like Velvet, Vivir Sin Permiso, 3 Caminos and currently Operation Marea Negra, the first production of Amazon Prime Video in Portugal after being introduced to the market by Ficcion Producciones.
